Relaxed and busy don’t have to be contradictory terms.

Call it what you will — avocation, hobby, pursuit, pastime. We call it living the good life. From the renowned Seth Raynor golf course, championship croquet lawns, racquet sports to trap and skeet, from spa and fitness to swimming and kayaks, Mountain Lake has it all for all who are game.

Golf

The Mountain Lake golf course features some of Seth Raynor’s finest work. A stunning example of Golden Age architecture, the course is effortlessly routed over inspiring terrain. Conditions are always firm and fast and the pace of play is brisk. “Biarritz,” “Road,” “Redan” and “Punchbowl” are a few of the holes designed by Raynor in tribute to famed European layouts. Recognized as one of the top courses in the US and a top 10 course in Florida, this is golf as it was meant to be.

Racquets

Five courts, three pros. Game, set, match. Our five Har-Tru clay courts are groomed and manicured to perfection, and calling them exceptional is just scratching the surface. Weekly men’s, women’s and mixed programs are always popular with members, along with cardio tennis, pickleball, kids’ clinics, and interclub events.

Croquet

Experience croquet like nowhere else on earth: four championship lawns deemed “the finest in the world,” all perched above a pristine lake and draped in the sweet fragrance of orange blossoms and sounds of carillon music. Mountain Lake boasts a rich, multigenerational croquet legacy, both among our staff and our members. Director of Tennis & Croquet Kyle Maloof is a second-generation Tennis & Croquet Professional, following in his father David’s white shoes. Both have proudly represented the United States as individuals and teammates on the world stage.

Shooting

Shooters meet twice a week at the range to sharpen their skills and compete. The range features trap, skeet, and five-stand sporting clays and is located outside the gates of the Park. Nestled into an old clay mine, it’s location provides the safety necessary to enjoy the sport without being noticed in the community.

Sports

Golf. Racquets. Croquet. Fitness.

For an active soul, what more could you wish? Spend the winter days bouncing from sport to sport if you desire, with Mountain Lake’s wealth of recreational options offering a worthy match to any level of stamina.
