For an exclusive enclave offering so much country club privacy and seclusion, Mountain Lake puts you in a position of remarkable convenience. Grocery shopping options are as close as five minutes away, and you can arrive at the gates of Disney World and Universal Studios in well under an hour. Most importantly, when you’re traveling in the direction of Mountain Lake and itching to hit the golf course, it’s nice to know we’re so centrally located. (Nicer yet, there’s no waiting for tee times when you get here.) As our members can tell you, it’s all in the approach.

Beyond the gates of Mountain Lake, in every direction, Florida’s often surprising and always magical points of interest beckon our members to go forth and explore. Easy day trips for shopping, antiquing and culture-vulturing are ever-popular choices. Airboat rides get a lot of props, as do nearby nature parks and preserves. The options are virtually endless. Fortunately, the travel time is not.

International Airports

Flying commercial? Pick either Tampa or Orlando International Airports and you’ll be through the gates of Mountain Lake in the same amount of time. Fly direct to more than 30 countries and almost any city in North America.

Local Airports

Several local options are available for private aircraft. Lake Wales Municipal (X07) is 12 minutes from the gates of Mountain Lake with runway lengths up to 5400 feet. Bartow Executive (KBOW) and Winter Haven Regional (KGIF) are also close by, and Lakeland Linder International (KLAL) has runways up to 8500 ft.

Beaches, Attractions, Shopping

Experience the best of Florida beaches with one thing they often lack: seclusion. A private beach awaits Mountain Lake members, and it’s just four turns away. Excellent shopping is available a short excursion away in Orlando and Winter Park to the east or Tampa to the west. Of course, Florida’s world famous theme parks are minutes from your doorstep as well.
