Hole 3: Punch Bowl

Typically a Par 4, Punch Bowl is characterized by a blind approach to a receptive green that funnels the ball toward the hole.

During a 1929 renovation by Charles Banks, the original mounding surrounding the Third Green was removed and replaced with bunkers.

2026 Restoration

Restoring the Third Hole will not only include restoring the characteristic mounding expected in the green surrounds, but also increasing the strategy off the tee by moving the fairway bunker and adding a raised sandy mound. The dramatic and fun Punch Bowl green will be enjoyable for all classes of golfer. Short grass will be added to connect to the Fourth Tee.
